Now that I have a few Form 1s behind me, I may see about chopping it to a more reasonable length and having it threaded. The factory shroud looks good also, but IIRC the rifle won't fit into the hard case with it installed if that's a concern. I added the BSG style barrel shroud from MFI to mine just to hide the long naked barrel. Easy way to carry an additional 40rds with the gun. The butt stock mag pouch shown earlier in the thread is the Desantis Storm Packer and will work with the Mec-Gar mags, but not with the factory 30s. They are actually Mec-Gar's 18rd Beretta mag with a +2 floorplate, which adds just over 1/2" to the length of the grip. My local dealer said that was better than his cost at the time.Īs 5thLegion mentioned on a previous page, the Mec-Gar 20rd mags are great for the CX4. I bought it from Botach (and actually got it!) in 2015 for $599 shipped. Some discussions elsewhere and the recent thread in GD (which had a link to this one) has re-invigorated my interest in my CX4. This was a perfect fit on my CX4 storm in 9mm. Beretta apparently contacted him and asked if he would make one with Beretta markings and a few other minor tweaks. Product Reviews VENTED 6' BARREL SHROUD FOR BERETTA CX4 STORM 9mm/.40S&W/.45 ACP RIFLE. It originally came from MFI (Mike Frost). Factory Barrel Shroud: I have the new one. It would have been very interesting seeing a US manufactured version with a short barrel, brace, ruggeder innards, better trigger, normal height sights, and no need for a thumb hole or to leave the barrel unthreaded. Has anyone tried this Barrel Shroud for the CX4 Storm Moerse Lekker Barrel Shroud Looks better than the new one from Beretta. It now goes in the bag-o-glocks that includes a couple of Gen2 G19s, 17s, a 26, a Gen5 MOS, and a sub2000 that had to be cut down to take G19mags, and that was a stretch, no hope of using g26s in a pinch. There is rumor of a CZ type magwell for it but I have never seen one. I put the glock magwell on the PAK, and it runs 100% and takes g26, g19, the 30 rounders etc.

It is probably more versatile than the 1980s combo I put the PX insert and release in the CX4 and it lives in a bag with those pistols and magazines now. I went to an AR9 based model to go with my 92s. I have an AK based PAK 9 that is similar. The CX4 is more durable, but still flimsy compared to serious grade stuff. It would not hold up banding around the back of an aircraft, Pandur, or Stryker, on mountains, climbing overs walls, etc. It runs great now, but every thing is flimsy. When I placed the carbine, without a barrel shroud, into the case, the barrel stuck out about 3 inches. 45ACP on the CX4, It will not fit in the original case.

#CX4 BARREL SHROUD INSTALL#
It had to go back to repair the safety stuck on fire. NOTE: When you install Beretta Cx4 Storm Barrel Shroud 9mm.

I have a Sub2000 Kel-Tec in 40mm for my 96s. It does what it is supposed to, offers a 92 carbine companion.
